Welcome to Gluten Free and Still Eating

After going gluten free October 29th 2009 the search was on for anything and everything gluten free. Hours of reading blogs, reviews, articles and even Yahoo!Answers has led me to find a wide selection of things gluten free. I've decided to create this blog to help other people find out about the amazing products I have stumbled upon. I am also open for your reviews of a product, restaurant, hotel/resort or suggestions to something new! I'm sure there are thousands of products that are out there, waiting to be discovered!

Readers Suggestions

  • My first suggestion came from a good friend who is an Executive Chef.  He has recommended the book "The Maker's Diet" by Jordan S.Rubin, N.M.D., Ph.D.      http://www.makers-diet.net/

  • A tip from an old friend Emilie, her mother has started a business called PaddyCakes Gluten Free Baking and Preserves.  Custom and weekly orders welcome!   She is selling gluten free homemade breads, bagels, pies, cakes, cookies, squares and more at the Coburg Farmers Marker (located behind Victoria Hall) every Saturday from 7am - 1pm.  Review coming soon!

WFGF flour mix - I make a huge batch of this at a time and use all my old recipes!

3 parts white rice flour (you can also use brown rice flour)
             3 parts cornstarch
             2 parts soy flour
             1 part corn flour
When preparing your recipe use 1 tsp of zantham gum for every two cups of flour in your recipe!
